Weird Wool Wednesday: knitting the cuff without end….

Mod Madness sock has an endless cuff… rows and rows of stranded knitting:

Throwing in purl stitches, never letting you get in any sort of rhythm. It’s so slow and tedious! This has taken me days:

But finally…

FINALLY

I have ended the cuff. I can proceed to the chart.

YAY! all knit stitches from now on!

First row done. Annnnnd…. thwarted by auto-pilot:

There’s no need for these purl stitches. They should be knit.

  1. Ooooh no, the frustration…but this did make me smile – in sympathy of course! Counting to 10 and lots of ‘Oh, bother…’ or words to that effect? Love the completed sock, by the way, the combination of yarns is great and the grey is gorgeous. May I ask if the stranded knitting is becoming easier and less painful – I feel for your joints!

    • haha, thanks! yes it’s becoming easier, knitting stranded with two strands over left index finger. I had to go up a needle size and keep remembering to relax my shoulders.
